Wardrobe Malfunction
by E.LD #1Groupie4EvAJJ woke up in the ball pit of the McDonalds and listened without really hearing the irate manager whom was asking him to leave the premises.
Apparently a small child had unearthed him while at play and sent the entire place in a panic as no one was quite certain if he may be deceased?
He sat up in the colourful pile and flipped open his mobile phone which was ringing quite insistently.
"Hello, where am I?"
"Eh, haven't attached that GPS on you quite yet."
"LJ?"
"Yes."
"Good morning!"
"Good afternoon and eh, Where are you?"
JJ looked about and vaguely remembered sneaking into the fast foods children's play area to have some privacy with a bloke he met outside by the pay phones. But that was last night and now the sun was out? What was the date....
"I think you'd rather not know?" JJ stumbled out of the playpen of plastic balls, spilling many onto the floor while he zipped his too tight denims up while a near by group of staring mums gasped and covered their children's wide eyes.
"Actually," LJ assured him, "I'd LOVE to know? You were supposed to be here with our clothes 30 entire minutes ago?"
"Here?" JJ was mildly alarmed as he always was when he realised he might have completely forgotten something mildly important. He fumbled for his sun glasses as he was shoved outside the doors and sun brutally assaulted his eyes. "Here where, not that I do not know, but I am just checking to see if you know?"
LJ sighed. "The photo shoot?"
"Oh!" JJ exclaimed as he hailed a taxicab and got in. "Oh yes! Honestly LJ how could you think I would have forgotten about that?"
"Just bring the clothes before JL starts twitching."
"I'll be right there." JJ said behind his lipgloss and compact.
"Good."
"LJ?"
"890 South Main, third floor, Jem Studios."
"Thank you love."
JJ was about to make a very elaborate kissy sound into the mobile telephone but LJ had already hung up.
JJ dashed up the steps of 890 South Main with several black clothing bags slung over his shoulder. His breathless arrival into the studio was greeted by glares from his fellow band mates.
"You would not believe what happened!" JJ began to explain in his best dramatic tone.
"Judgmental police officers?" LL guessed.
"Aliens!" Twist called out.
LJ shrugged. "The Muppet Show was having a marathon?"
"He had better have been worth it Joey." JL murmured while taking the bags from JJ.
JJ glared back at them but gave JL a small smile. "I'm sure if I could remember, he probably was?"
JJ stood in the changing stall and looked at the clothing that he had pulled out of the garment bag.
"Eh."
It was not what he was used to wearing or really, had ever been asked to wear. He knew JL had to approve all clothing choices made by the photographers and that surprised him a little.
"Oh well!" JJ pulled his baby blue tank top over his head and went to it.
JJ stood outside the other stalls and studied his nails.
"I give up!" LL suddenly yelled out and his door opened.
"LL, that is no way to put on a corset?" JJ pointed out. LL had in fact gotten the deep red lacing on the royal red silk corset completely backwards and the trousers which were little more than an elaborate cross section of red leather straps, were all wrong. LL wobbled in the impressive red platforms.
LL was a shade of pink. "Since when....," he growled, "..do we dress up like this?"
LJ appeared also flushed pink but for a rather different reason. His very shiny, very tight and very black vinyl trousers had the bum cut out and replaced with clear vinyl. His broad chest was covered in a vinyl high collared, sleeveless shirt made of the same clear material.
JJ shut his mouth and cleared his throat. "May-maybe JL is thinking of marketing us to the eh, SM&BD crowd?"
LL pointed at JJ, speechless.
"I sort of like it?" JJ smiled brightly. "Maybe not the colours..." He was wearing a sheer black body stocking that had black cross stitching up and down his sides on the seams, over his bits and up the back. It had included a very dark purple and very glossy half corset that fit snugly under his chest and just over his hips, laced together with silky purple cord.
It came with a deep purple boa and boots that JJ was sure he'd seen a stripper wear before.
LJ turned a shade darker.
The strange sounds coming from Twist's stall made them all turn their heads.
LL opened the door when Twist did not answer them.
After LJ had untangled Twist from the complex network of fish netting and straps and his airflow returned, did Twist announce his displeasure.
"This is bollocks!" Twist tossed the wadded up spiked harness that had almost choked him to death to the floor. "And you can forget about that horse tail! That is not going to happen!"
JJ felt his eyebrows raise.
A silence fell and JJ realised JL was there, staring at them.
"What is this?" He asked quite seriously.
"The clothes!" JJ informed him cheerfully. "I picked them up!"
JL, a strange look on his face as he glanced over them all, lingering a few seconds longer on Twist who hadn't removed the heavily spiked codpiece quite yet, walked into the nearest stall and returned with one of the black garment bags.
He pulled out the bright yellow slip of paper attached to the zipper.
"Isaacs." He read.
"Oh." JJ shifted nervously in his spiked heels. "I guess I- I eh-"
LL shook. "I guess you did."
JJ hid his blush behind his boa.
"This was a great idea!" Twist said as he turned to the click and whir of the cameras.
LL agreed. "Oh yeah."
LJ smirked. "Good thing I wore my CKs today."
JL shushed them. "Be quiet and look like rock stars."
JJ put on his best bored expression and pouted.
While a bit cold, posing in their underpants was all in all, the best idea anyone had had all day!
